DyslexicAid.com is run by me, Jamie Briggs. This page explains, in plain English, what details this website collects, why, and what happens to them. If you have any questions, email jamiebriggstutor@gmail.com or ring 07940 799977.

What I collect and why

  • Enquiry and contact forms: your name, email and phone number, and where the form asks, your child's age, what they find hardest at school, and when you would like support to start. I use these to reply to you, call you back and manage your enquiry. That's it.
  • The free assessment: your answers about how your child gets on with reading, writing and studying, plus your contact details, so I can give you a recommendation and follow it up with you.
  • The waiting list: your name, email, phone, your child's age and your availability, so I can offer you a place when one suits.
  • Booking a call: bookings are handled by Cal.com, which collects your name, email and chosen time and shares them with me.
  • Payments: handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe directly and never touch this website.
  • Reviews: your review text and, only if you tick the box, your name for display.
  • Website usage: this site uses the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Google tags to measure advertising. Where you have given details on an enquiry form, a securely hashed version of your email, phone and name may be shared with Meta for ad measurement. On the enquiry pages I also record how the page is used (for example whether the video was played and how long the page was open) alongside your enquiry, so I can improve the page and be better prepared when we speak.

Where your details are kept

Details are stored in this website's database with my hosting provider, Hostinger. Enquiry contact details also sync to my business contacts (Apple iCloud) so I can call or text you back. Everything is handled in line with UK GDPR.

Who your details are shared with

Only the services needed to run things: Hostinger (hosting), Meta and Google (advertising measurement), Cal.com (call bookings), Stripe (payments) and Apple (contact syncing). Your details are never sold and never added to third-party marketing lists.

How long I keep them

For as long as needed to deal with your enquiry or provide the course, and afterwards only as reasonable business records. Ask me to delete your details at any time and I will.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details I hold about you, ask for them to be corrected, or ask for them to be deleted. Just email jamiebriggstutor@gmail.com. If you're unhappy with how your details have been handled, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
